Delete a Team or Sharepoint Site

To delete a SharePoint/Teams site, you must be a team owner of administrator. Both methods below will delete the Team, associated channels, conversations, files and affiliated SharePoint Site.

Delete from the Microsoft Teams application 

  1. Open Microsoft Teams on your desktop or browser. 
     
  2. Navigate to the team you want to delete. 
     
  3. Click the More options (...) icon next to the team's name.

  5. Check the box confirming you understand everything will be deleted, and click Delete team. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Delete through the SharePoint interface

  1. Navigate to the SharePoint site in your web browser. This can be accessed by using the following URL format: https://ubalt.sharepoint.com/sites/[Site name]
     
  2. Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  4. At the bottom of the panel, click Delete site. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  5. Check the box acknowledging you are about to delete the group/site and click delete.
