Managing SharePoint/Teams Site Members and Owners

Note: You must be a site owner to manage site members and owners. 


Within SharePoint Interface
Add new members

  1. Navigate to your SharePoint site. This can be accessed by using the URL formatted ubalt.sharepoint.com/sites/[sitename].
     
  2.  Click the member link in the right corner. This will appear as an icon of a person with a count of the site members.The SharePoint interface of a Teams site is shown with the member link circled in red.   3. A right side tab titled Group Membership will open. To add a site member, click Add members.The Group membership menu is shown with the Add Members button circled in red.
     
  4. Type in the name of the UBalt user you wish to add as a member.

  5. Under the user name, use the drop down to set the user as a member or an owner.

  6.  Click Save.

Manage member roles

  1. Click the member link in the right corner. This will appear as a person icon with a count of the site members.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Find the member you wish to manage. Under the member, use the drop down to set the user as a Member, Owner, or Remove from Group. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     

Within Teams Application
Add new members

  1. Navigate to your Team. 
     
  2. Click on the … next to the Team name. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  4. Type the name or email of the UBalt user you wish to add. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  5. Next to the user name, use the drop down to set the user as a member or an owner. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Click Add.

Manage member roles

  1. Click on the … next to the Team name. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. Select Manage Team.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  4. Find the user to be changed by searching or finding their name in the list.

     
  5. Under the Team Role column, use the drop down to set a user as a member or an owner. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  6. To remove a member from the site, select the X next to their row. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
