The website profiles for faculty and staff are maintained by an integration from the Workday and PeopleSoft software applications. Faculty profiles can be enhanced by the information entered in the Watermark Insights application (formally known as Digital Measures). Below are the details of how the profile information is populated and how to enhance the faculty profiles.
Workday/PeopleSoft Sourced Fields:
- Full Name (Page heading large text)
- Position Title (Page heading smaller text)
- Email (Contact information)
- Phone (Contract information)
- Location (Contact information)
Watermark Insights Sourced Fields:
Full Name Override
- Located under General Information > Personal and Contact Information
- First Name (e.g. "Jane Mary", "Jane M." or "J. Mary" etc.)
- Last Name (e.g. Changing "Doe" to another last name)
- Alternative Name You Publish Under (e.g., an anglicized name), if any (Enter in the Full Name you want to appear on your web profile)
Department and Main Position Override
- Located under Service > University (near the bottom)
- To override the value used for Department, enter in the new department name in the "Committee Name" field, select the year "2025" in the Start Date field and leave the End Date field blank.
- To override the Position, select "Other" in the "Position/Role" field, enter in the new position title in the "Other; Explanation of "Other"" field, select the year "2025" in the Start Date field and leave the End Date field blank.
Additional/Past Role(s)
- Located under General Information > Academic, Government, Military and Professional Positions
- Only roles with "Experience Type" equal to either "Academic - Administrative/Other" or "Academic - Faculty" will be displayed
Awards and Honors
- Located under General Information > Awards and Honors
- Only awards and honors with the "Is this a current Professorship/Chair?" option selected "Yes" will be displayed
Education
- Located under General Information > Education
- The degree with "Highest Degree You Have Earned?" option selected "Yes" will be displayed first
- All other degrees will be in descending order by "Year Completed"
Biography
- Located under General Information > Personal and Contact Information
- Watermark Insights provide basic formatting features
- Use the "Enhancement Tags" below for more advanced formatting features

Faculty Image
- Image files are stored/uploaded to the /directory/dm/img folder
- The naming convention for the file is the first portion of the faculty's email address (e.g., faculty.jpg)
C.V. File
- C.V. files are stored/uploaded to the /directory/dm/cv folder
- The naming convention for the file is the first portion of the faculty's email address (e.g., cv-faculty.pdf)
- The C.V. file URL from the website is entered in Watermark Insights under General Information > Personal and Contact Information > Personal Website
Request your faculty image and/or C.V. file uploaded to the website using the Request - Webite/MyUBalt Portal form.
