Update Your Security Info

To reset your UBalt password, you will be required to use an alternate contact method to verify your password reset. Your account has been pre-populated with the alternate email and phone number that is on file with University of Baltimore. To review and update your verification methods, use the following steps. 

  1. Log in to myaccount.microsoft.com using your UBalt credentials.
     
  2. Under Security Info select Update Info.

  3. The methods available to reset your password will be listed.

    To delete a method, select Delete for the relevant method. 

    To change a method, select Change for the relevant method. 

    To add a new method, select Add sign-in method.

    NOTE: You must have at least one method other than Password set up in order to use self-service password reset. Without an email, phone number or Microsoft Authenticator configured as a sign in method, you will be required to contact the OTS Call Center any time you need to reset your password. 
     
  4. When changing or adding a new method, you will be required to verify the method by submitting a verification code sent to the new contact method. 

    For example, to update an alternate email, enter the desired email address and select Next.

    A verification code will be sent to your new alternate email from Microsoft on behalf of University of Baltimore. Enter the code received to the new alternate email address and select NextUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    A confirmation will briefly display when the method is registered.
