Correcting Absence Requests

You can only correct a time off request in Workday if it has been approved. If the request has not
been approved, you can cancel the unapproved time off request.

CORRECT AN APPROVED TIME OFF OR ABSENCE (Note: approved absences appear in green) Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  1. From the home landing page, select the Absence application.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. Under the Request area, select the Correct my Absence button.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  3. Use the calendar tool to navigate to the day(s) off you wish to correct and click on the entry.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  4. Click the check box to select the day(s) to edit and then adjust the Quantity per Day box as seen in #1 below to adjust the hours worked if you wish to adjust to a partial day leave. To remove the day entirely, click the (-) icon to the left of the absence entry as seen in #2 below.

  5. Click Submit to complete the correction. The request will now be routed to your supervisor for approval.

CORRECT A REQUESTED TIME OFF OR ABSENCE (Note: requested absences that have not yet been approved appear in grey)

  2. Under the Request area, select the Request Absence buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  3. Use the calendar tool to navigate to the absence event off you wish to correct and click on the entry.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  4. Click the Cancel this Request button at the bottom of the screen. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  5. Click the Submit button on the next screen to submit the cancellation request to your supervisor.
