Adding a Network Printer

🖥️ Windows Instructions

1. Click the Windows icon (bottom-left corner)

2. Type “Printers” and select Printers & Scanners

3. Click Add a printer or scanner

4. Select “The printer that I want isn’t listed”

5. Choose “Select a shared printer by name”

6. In the box, type:
   \cispcut\

7. Select your printer from the list and click Next

8. Click Next → Next → Finish

✔️ The printer should now appear in your printer list
🔄 Important: Please sign out and sign back in for permissions to apply

🍎 Mac Instructions

1. Open Launchpad → System Settings → Printers & Scanners

2. Click the + (Add Printer) button

3. Click the Advanced icon
   (If not visible: right-click toolbar → drag “Advanced” into view)

4. Enter the following:

   • Type: LDP

   • URL:

     • Standard: ldp://cispcut.cis.ubalt.edu/SecurePrint or ldp://cispcut.cis.ubalt.edu/PrinterName

     • Law School: ldp://cispcut.cis.ubalt.edu/SecurePrint

   • Name: Your printer name

   • Use: Select correct driver (or Generic PostScript if unsure)

5. Click Add

6. Open the printer → Print Queue → Printer → Print Test Page

🔐 When prompted:

• Username: cis\[NetID]

• Password: your NetID password

If you receive a permissions error, please have your supervisor email:
